“A local treasure indeed. We heard about this place online and had to go. It was amazing. The jewelry is gorgeous and so unique. They have a second location as well, that one is more expensive and higher end but it’s the same stuff. We got so many nice little souvenirs to take back as well and wasn’t bombarded like at the normal market. The guys here are nice and very knowledgeable. We even got some more shirts made here and it was cheaper than the market and much much better quality. We did notice our rings did turn out fingers green but that is because it’s brass, when we told them they immediately cleaned and polished them. We went back a few times and would recommend to anyone in town.”

“Abraham Konga has consistently been my favorite store in Kigali and favorite jewelry store I’ve ever been to. The pieces are reasonably priced, all upcycled from brass padlocks and cowbone, and BEAUTIFUL. Abraham handmakes all of the items and you can see how much care and attention he puts into them. He also does free polishing and if you ever have an issue, you can come in and he will fix it. I love how the brass looks like gold and how easy it is to upkeep (he encourages you to get it wet!). Abraham is also just such a kind person and wonderful to talk to. He stands by his product. Finally, you can also request custom items and he is willing to design them together. I will shop here again and again!”
